Christina Collins, DVM, MBA – Veterinarian/Owner

For Stone Ridge Animal Hospital owner Dr. Christina Collins, being a veterinarian is very literally a dream come true. Dr. Collins always had a passion for animals, and considered becoming a veterinarian while growing up in the small town of Lisbon, Maine.

In 1998 Dr. Collins graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Mathematics and a minor in Economics and Business Administration. In 2013 Dr. Collins fulfilled her dream, earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science.

Today, Dr. Collins is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include dermatology, surgery and dentistry. She gets special satisfaction from dealing with challenging cases and “seeing the joy people have after their companions have recovered and are now feeling wonderful again,” and from making clinic visits less stressful for anxious or fearful animals. Dr. Collins works every day to “meet the individual needs of each beloved pet and their owners with compassion and quality care while working in a family-oriented environment.”

In her free time Dr. Collins enjoys spending time with her four-legged family. “I am living my dream now and I wouldn’t change any part of it

Jamie Vazquez, DVM – Veterinarian

Dr. Jamie Vazquez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He moved to Ocala in 2015. Even as a young child he was interested in the wellbeing of animals. Dr. Vazquez received his degree in 2011 from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena in Santo Domingo, Domican Repbublic. He joined the Stone Ridge Animal Hospital Team in June of 2022. In his free time, Dr. Vazquez loves spending time with his wife and daughter and playing with their dog Gus.
